Twin Lakes Food Bank

Twin lakes food bank

The Twin Lakes Food Bank is a Christian based, non-profit organization that helps families in need with supplemental food and clothing. Whether disadvantaged by unexpected and troubled times, or a family living day-to-day in need, the Twin Lakes Food Bank has opened its heart to thousands of your neighbors since 1986.

The Twin Lakes Food Bank serves over 1,000 people (in Folsom, Orangevale and El Dorado Hills) each month - including 500-600 children - with a week's worth of nutritious food.

Last year we helped 17,383 people, 1/2 of them children.
200 Easter hams were given to our repeat families.
343 turkeys were distributed.
In conjunction with the Folsom Police Dept., 421 families received   Christmas baskets that included a meal and toys for the children.
Our Back to School program outfitted 311 school age children with shoes& socks, a backpack, school supplies, a bag of healthy food and dental supplies.

 "Never In Our Town"

In 1988, the Folsom Athletic Association (FAA) created the Youth Financial Assistance Scholarship Program which strives to provide financial assistance for all Folsom youth residents desiring to participate in Community Youth Sports Leagues (CYSL) who could not otherwise participate due to financial restrictions.
The funds slogan "Never in Our Town," is the guiding philosophy of the fund.
The principal of the trust fund will never be touched, only the interest will be used to provide scholarships to children with financial need.

Folsom residents will be considered when they contact each community youth sports league directly for the application and return the form directly to the league of choice for guidelines and approval.
